About Me
Counseling with purpose
This is my 4th year working as a School Counselor and 3rd here at Cape May City Elementary. I am a big surfer and recently got married! I love what I do and can not wait to see the kids every single day! I am proud and excited to be a part of the Cape May City community!
I was inspired to work in the helping professions during my time at Stockton University. While there my work began by leading a tutoring/mentoring program in Atlantic City. Following graduation from Stockton, I continued to follow my passion for helping others by working at Covenant House, a youth homeless shelter. At the same time I enrolled in a masters program at Wilmington University to further pursue my dream of becoming a School Counselor.
In December 2017, I graduated with a Masters Degree in School Counseling and began working at Ranch Hope, a behavioral school for boys. My passion for helping today's youth ultimately led me here, to Cape May City Elementary School, where I couldn't be happier to be the School Counselor.

School Wide Approach
Individual. Group. Classroom Guidance
Individual Counseling
Available for all
Individual Counseling is available for all students when needed. Due to the time constraints within a school, counseling is short-term and goal focused. Sessions are customized to meet the specific needs of each client. When more intensive long term counseling is needed, I am here to connect you with the right counselor or therapist in the community. If you believe your student could benefit from individual counseling, contact me at ext. 254.
Group Counseling
Lunch Groups
Counseling groups will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during lunch. Groups typically consist of 4-8 students. Topics are based off of student needs. Groups will be determined as needed and will be offered to students that could benefit from them. If you believe your student could benefit from a group or would like to suggest a topic, do not hesitate to reach out.
Classroom Guidance Lessons
Taught to all grades
Lessons are taught on a weekly basis to all classes. Each grade has unique lessons that focus on age appropriate topics and content. Lessons are proactive, preventative, and based on the identified needs of the school and individual classes. A few examples of topics discussed include empathy, resilience, kindness, conflict resolution, self-regulation, teamwork, coping strategies, bullying, teasing vs. joking, transitions, goal setting, and much more.
